Terms of Service

These terms cover what you can do with Gentity Compute and what we commit to in return. Plain English first, lawyer-friendly second.

1. Who you're agreeing with

Gentity Compute is operated by ROOTTEAM, Inc. (“Gentity”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply whenever you create an account, run an instance, or use the gentity CLI / REST API.

By signing in or running any command against our API, you agree to these terms. If you're acting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The service

Gentity gives you isolated Linux microVMs (Fly Machines) preconfigured to run AI agent software. You choose an agent template, supply your own model provider API key, and Gentity provisions, runs, monitors, and bills compute time for the resulting instances.

We may add, remove, or change agent templates, regions, hardware sizes, and pricing tiers. We'll give reasonable notice for material changes (typically 30 days for price increases on running instances).

3. Account requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
  • You must use accurate sign-in details (we authenticate via GitHub or Google OAuth — your account details come from there).
  • One human per account. Don't share credentials. Use API tokens for automated access.
  • You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including runaway agents that rack up compute or LLM costs.

4. Acceptable use

Each instance is a real Linux VM with internet access. Don't use Gentity to:

  • Run cryptocurrency miners, distributed-compute bounty workers, or anything whose primary value is hashrate.
  • Send spam, run phishing infrastructure, host CSAM, or distribute malware.
  • Scan, probe, or attack systems you don't own or have explicit permission to test.
  • Train models on data you don't have rights to. You're responsible for licensing the content your agents read and write.
  • Reverse-engineer, mirror, or commercially resell the Gentity service itself.
  • Violate the terms of the upstream agent project (OpenClaw, Hermes, Aider, Claude Code, browser-use) or the model provider whose key you're using.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity. We'll try to give you a chance to fix things before pulling the plug, but we don't commit to it for clear abuse.

5. Your content

You own everything that runs in your instances— the code you push, the files your agent edits, the prompts you send, the conversations you have. We don't claim a license to any of it.

We don't train models on your content, don't read it for improvement, and don't share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers strictly required to run the service (detailed in our Privacy Policy).

6. Model provider keys

You provide the API key for whatever LLM provider your agent calls (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, etc.). We store the key encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and inject it into your instance's environment only when the instance is starting.

You're responsible for charges your agent runs up at the model provider. Gentity doesn't proxy or markup model calls.

7. Fees

Some Gentity functionality is free; others are paid. Current pricing is shown on gentity.ai. We bill in US dollars via Stripe.

Compute is billed per running hour. Persistent volumes are billed per GB-month regardless of instance state. You can stop instances to halt compute charges (volume charges continue until you delete them).

Charges are not refundable except where required by law. If you dispute a charge, contact hello@gentity.ai within 30 days of the invoice date.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing us. We delete your instances, volumes, encrypted keys, and account record within 30 days of the request. Backups roll off naturally within 90 days.

We can terminate or suspend access for non-payment, terms violation, or if continued operation creates legal or security risk. If we terminate for reasons other than your fault, we'll refund prepaid unused fees pro-rata.

9. Disclaimers

Gentity is provided “as is”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure.

Your agents run third-party software. We don't warrant that any agent produces correct, complete, or safe output. Review your agent's actions before relying on them for anything consequential.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gentity's aggregate liability arising from these terms is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid Gentity in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $100.

We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or substitute service costs), even if we've been advised of the possibility.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially reduces your rights or expands your obligations, we'll notify the email on file at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan (where ROOTTEAM, Inc. is incorporated). Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Tokyo, Japan. Nothing here waives any consumer rights you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
